When giving case dimensions, they should always be given in the order LENGTH - WIDTH - DEPTH
The LENGTH of a case ia always the LONGEST of the side panels.
The WIDTH of a case is always the SHORTEST of the side panels
the DEPTH of a case is ALWAYS from OPEN END to OPEN END.
Top, Side, or End Opening

Whether a case is top, side, or end opening is determined by the dimensions of the open end in relation to the depth dimension.
Top Loading Cases
The two longest dimensions are the open end.
Side Opening Cases
The longest and shortest dimensions are the open end.
End opening cases
The two shortest dimensions are the open end.
Case Packing Arrangement

When giving packing arrangement of a case, always give the number of packages along the LENGTH of case X number of packages along the WIDTH of case X number of packages along the DEPTH of case.
In other words, the packaging arrangement is given in the same order as the case dimensions: LENGTH X WIDTH X DEPTH.
